> SMS management on P800
Bookmark topic
Hello all,
I posted this post elsewhere before knowing there was a dedicated P800 forum so please excuse the duplication. Is there any software out there that I can use to backup my SMS from my P800 to my PC? I used to use Float's Mobile Agent with my T68i but it doesn't seem to support the P800. I like to keep my SMS and not delete them but I already have 139 messages on my P800 waiting to go to the PC. Please help.
Thanks,
Mimzo

Well... I'd say an sms uses up to 200 bytes of memory. 1000 bytes in one KB. 1000 KB in one MB 12 megs on the phone....
Around 50000... If you use all your memory for sms.
But you won't. But 1 mb is about 5000 smses. Should last for a while don't you think so?

Np... Though you might run into problems organizing them as you can't make folders and such. 5000 smses in one folder might be hard to keep track of....

I imagine it will be quite problematic :|
Hopefully by the time I have 5000 SMSs in there, they would've released a software upgrade that will allow me to make folders

This might work. Just make a backup of your p800, and search for the right path in the program. It works for 7650, so I don't see why it wouldn't on p800.

I think it's a pity you don't have folders.... i mean that's a bit backward...

I agree.
I really wish I can find a solution to the SMS issue.
