> Galaxy Samsung S i9000 not ota update?

I've got an oldish Galaxy Samsung S i9000 with Android 2.1 but for some reason there isn't the option on it to do OTA updates? Is this normal? I can't seem to find it anywhere. =/
Anyone got any ideas?

I should mention the reason I'm asking is because I want to update the firmware but am having major issues connecting the phone to Kies on Windows 7 64-bit.
