> send to infrared recipient doesn't work

i can connect to my t68i no problem at all, using the built in ir program(called wireless link i think?) i can send and receive pics everytime.
however the problem i'm havin is with the send to/infrared recipient in Windows Explorer. whenever i click it the infrared connection just hangs,the file never sends.when i ctrl-alt-del it shows irftp not working.
irftp (not responding)
i end up havin to end this along with irmon.exe to get it to recognise the phone again.i've tried alterin baudrate to 9600 but it's always the same.
the thing i don't understand is the "send to infrared recipient" is just a link to the wireless link program which works fine as a stand alone.
other program's such as sony image editor and float's mobile agent work fine everytime!
i'm using windows me with a actisys IR220L+ serial adapter
any ideas cos i've tried everythin i can think of to get it workin n it's gettin frustrating.
