I can capture video with my P800.Get yourself a programe called Phillips Camcoder Pro.I got it from Handango for about 35.95 dollars.It work like a charm and video player that comes with it is brilliant.I no longer use the default player.It's got a trial version as well with the full features,you can try it before you use it.I recommed it for you.Check on

I know it's off topic but I once tried the Philips Camcorder and quickly I reached the conclusion that it creates worst quality movies (but smaller) than the default comcorder on the P9x0.
But since you have P800 I think the Philips Camcorder it's the only option I know.
