> W995 USB connection problem

I just got a used W995. The PC sometimes recognizes it, sometimes not. Some files can be deleted with Windows explorer, some cannot. I get a message telling some files are protected. I cannot copy music or other files to memory card. I get an error message like file or folder not found. Then the card appears empty in Windows explorer. But the old files are still there when I turn on the phone. Installing PC suite (now it turned itself into PC Companion without asking my permission...) didn't help. PC Companion displays the phone card, but it doesn't display the memory card. Tried with 3 different PCs. What the hell is happening? If you'll advise me reflash, how is it done?

Use MyPhoneExplorer and connect via wifi. You can manage your files wirelessly. One more thing, is the phone branded or generic? Sometimes the operators can make things a little bit tough.

MPE doesn't recognize the phone even when Windows recognizes it. How do I connect PC and phone via WiFi?

If you have a wireless router, you can connect the phone to it and MPE will find it. You just need to set the connection to wireless y MPE.

Ok one more PC and this is what I observe:
If I copy files to the memory card, I get an error during copying and Windows displays the card as empty. If I copy to the phone memory, no errors. If I copy anything to anywhere with Bluetooth, no errors. I haven't tried Wifi. Either the USB socket or USB cable or phone software or memory card is broken. Which one should I have checked first?
Btw the camera is terrible on this phone. Photos come out more like 1.3 or 2MPs, not 8.1.
Thanks for the help.
