That's right, I'm still using Vista.

I always seem to have problems with stuff like this.

I have the BTN200M headphones and I have paired them with my laptop and also connected them with a USB cable to install the necessary drivers. However, there is no sound.

The headphones appear in Bluetooth devices OK.

However, when I go to Sound > Playback in the Control Panel, the headphones don't appear there, so I can't set them as default.

Any suggestions anyone? I've tried Google and Yahoo but to no avail.

Thanks.

EDIT: Fixed

How did you fix it?

It's such a round-a-bout process, this is one of the reasons why I hate Vista - I hope later versions have Auto Pairing.

* Enable Bluetooth on the laptop and switch on headphones (assuming they have already been paired using the usual procedure)
* Open - Control Panel > Bluetooth > Bluetooth Settings > Audio
* Find the Bluetooth Stereo Audio symbol and click connect. Wait until it indicates that it has connected. Close.
* Open > Control Panel > Sound > Playback and highlight Headphones and make this default. Ok.

This should work but the steps above have to be repeated every time.

Every time again? I don't like Maverick on my Mac but it still beats Microsoft.
