Hey everybody I got a question for ya...Im using a Bluetake POKE 2TH BUD with my T68i and I can only get about 4M range!!??
I think it may be caused by interference but I know that both the T68i and my BTdongle are class 2 devices (10M range, ok under optimum conditions) and they should get a better range than this!!
I basically connect a BT serial port and go to the status of the connection (Widcomm driver/software) and watch the signal strength drop of really quickly as I move away from my PC
What sort of range do you guys get??
BTW one of my house mates has a BUD and a 70brick50 but I dont think that would have anything to do with it? Would it?
When im in range everything works perfectly and can send and receive files to my t68i

I have just been sent some Bluetake products to review on my Website. I have tested the BlueTake BT009V adapter with also has a 10m range, and have also found that the 10m range as stated is only with nothing between the phone and the adapter.
I have also been sent a BT007 USB Dongle, this has a range of around 100m and testing of this has proved much better, through a few walls my phone will find the laptop to which it is all connected. Even going as far as my garden.
Im still playing with these for the review, if i find another way of increasing the range ill post it here and let you know,

At least I know about range issues with the bluetake dongles!
Incidentally I dont have anything between my phone and PC but the BUD is near my stereo (100W RMS amp) which may have something to do with it!??
What I want is the facility to use PC control with winamp round my house!!
but at the mo I cant

Once you sort out the drivers bluetake products to me are the dogs danglies!!
My only problem is the range with mine but it aint designed to go 100M tho....maybe I should have got one of those!
