Hello everyone! I see many of you are starting to get your phones so it seemed like the right time for me to make this post.
I am trying to decide if I should preorder the Xperia 1 II in the US. The phone is seemingly perfect. It is a high end phone with an 800 series processor that is both waterproof and has a headphone jack. That is the exact kind of fun I have been looking for over the last 2 years that no longer exist.
I have also always admired Sony's line of phones. The Xperia III was by far the best phone I have ever owned. Easily my favorite Android device.
The problem is that the 1 Mach 2 offers a ton of features I don't care about and charges a premium for them. I don't need the special photo app. I doubt I will use it. Anything above 1080p on a phone screen is wasted battery to me.
It comes down to the $1200 price tag, that I can technically afford, is a very hard pill for me to swallow. I want to support more phone makers coming out with phones and features I like, but I am not sure that this is the right phone for me to vote with my wallet with because
https://trackeasy.fun/usps/e of all the extras when an Xperia 5 II could come out and fit the sweet spot that I am actually looking for.
What are your opinions? Anyone else enjoying their Xperia 1 II for reasons beyond the camera software? In terms of what I actually use my phone for, it is a lot of YouTube watching and reading social media. I just don't know if I should be spending $1200 on a device to just do that.

I hope they'll catch up with other model fones out in the market right now, the likes of Oppo and ReadMe etc, as they've been left behind for years now . . .
