Hi, I have a T68i, it was on T-Mobile - but as I was having some real problems with reception where I live - I decided to go back to orange - as I have used them for several years without too many problems - and coverage in my area is loads better.
So I went to my local phone shop and got them to remove the network lock for me, I then entered the orange sim, and hey presto - it was/is all fine.
However I was just going through the entire menu system and in my previously dialed calls there are numbers that I have not called.
So now I am wondering - could this shop have switched my phone for one of theirs?
I know this is stupid but I need to do something about it before they forget my face!!!
I checked the *#06# trick, and checked that number against the box and that is fine - but I still have strange numbers on the phone.
I know on some phones, with the right s/w you can change the IMEI as well. - could they have changed their IMEI to mine, and given me their phone????
What I really want to know is there any 'fail-safe' way of checking the IMEI in the phone is the one that belongs to me?
If i have just lost the plot, and there is no way for them to do this, then can anyone explain how about 4 numbers where dialled yesterday? (and when I checked them they are all for things like AA car loans, Natwest car loans etc! and I am NOT looking for a loan?????)

yeah, thanx for the VERY quick reply, I was just about to admit parania as, I had the sudden thought of looking under the batery - and that is also the same number.
I think it is a bit far fetched to imagine that they changed that as well, and all in less than 20 mins.
Therefor, I gues I will bow down with shame, and assume that as I had my orange phone on me on friday, and I did get a little bit tipsy, that perhaps one of my friends thought it humeorus to dial random numbers?
I did not think that the numbers were on the sim card though, as it seems that they disappear when you turn off the phone and remove the battery, and I have done that several times since friday!
But thanx for tip anyway!!

Na, sorry, I just remember that it used to be a pretty easy thing to do.
I think it is illegal to sell that software now.
If you have any file sharing software, like Kazaa, you could prob do a description search for phone unlocking software, or something similar, I am sure there are plenty of peopl out there that still have a copy from the good old days
