Ok just got my P800 this weekend and TBH haven't really been following all the P800 topics over the last month or so.

I read recently that Win98 doesn't work with P800 for synching purposes..

Now is this absaloutley, definitely true or is there anyway to do it as i've spent all weekend trying to get XP fully functioning but i have some hardware compatibility problems which are looking very difficult to solve.

Just wondering if there was a workaround (although i doubt there is) or my next option is to get Windows 2000 rather than mess about with XP anymore.

Anyone got win98 working?

Hi,

I cant remember where I heard this now, I think it was in a press release or even the white paper. I shall try and dig it out unless anyone else can confirm.

Actually, just found it although I dont know how reliable the info is ....

from Cnet :

"Currently, the all-important PC Suite software for desktop synchronization supports only Windows 2000, Me, and XP; if you're using Windows 98, you're out of luck. Sony Ericsson is working on a remedy for this problem, but there's no timeline for this yet, said the representative."

This can be found at :

Zoidy's link leads to a page which just brings up "Server Error..please try again later" Im p*ssed that SE left 98SE users out in the cold. Its now July..anyone know of a patch?

Other than that I will just have to spend more $ on upgrading to WinMe or later.
