Tom Lynch, chief of Motorola´s handset division said:
"Linux/java is our core, our flagship product, but we´ll also do other ones," he said, adding he expects to use Microsoft software too. "And we don´t do that grudgingly. We understand they´re going to be a major player."

I don't see why this is bad for symbian. Motorola are platform agnostic, a bit like samsung. What matters is the phones they put out with symbian. If the symbian phones out perform the microsoft ones, who cares?
If they don't, then symbian have to sort things out.

I thnik competition is healthy, for the consumers at least.

Opps! Its not a good news, but a bad news for Motorola. Microsoft OS always hangs up---don't you know that? Can you smile like a dog when your phone hangs up everytime you shutdown? Never tired of Ctrl Alt Del? This message was posted from a T68i

Dear God, Microsoft in another phone.
I know a couple of developers who works at various companies which makes custom applications for network operators (to include in their phones).
They plainly refused to work with the SPV. They said they'd never seen worse crap. I'm quite sure this will always be the case with Microsoft phone OSes.
Just look at the latest security alert released for the SPV phone.. something about malicious code taking over the phone.. hahahaha how Microcrap is that...

God help us all...
