I thought it was a GPRS phone ! Is that really true that T300 only supports 9600bps ? So it has no use for gprs connection to my laptop. I tried different speed settings but phone stops responding over speeds 9600bps. I love the phone but its a piece of crap without gprs modem with 9600bps !!!
What am i doing wrong ?

It is a GPRS phone. What speeds does your provider support? Not all providers can give the full 53K DL speeds. What are your settings? When you set GPRS speeds... you do not get to choose 9600 14400..etc... sounds to me like you've made a CSD connection rather than a GPRS one. GPRS adapts to current connection conditions so it will always use the maximum available bandwidth.

If your menu shows you a Connection Speed dialog box (9600, 14400, 28800) then you're in the wrong menu.

Actually its the connection speed between infrared adapter and phone, i know its a 3+1 gprs phone and thats sth. like 36k but if the phone can only communicate with the computer at 9600bps so your speed will be also 9600bps.
I am using Ma-620 infrared adapter and ask the developer (mobileaction) why the phone stops responding at speeds higher than 9600 ( actually it doesnt even make a gprs connection if i set it up sth else than 9600, typically phone stops rspoding, ir monitor says connection stopped, etc.)
... they said its not their fault, SE T300 can only support connections of 9600bps.
Thats all i know

fatum, don't mind the speed shown by dial up networking. it is not the actual speed. the actual speed is determined by your operator. to check the GPRS speed, go to http://www.bandwidthplace.com/speedtest/index.html

The IR of all Ericsson and SE phones is the standard 115Kbps. Check your port settings in your Windows Control Panel. Windows sets the default at 9600.

But the modem uses infared virtual com port and it doesnt have a speed setting. I think it could be a problem of fast infrared protocol but i cant figure whats wrong.
Could you suggest any more tips ?
Thanks
