I use the ntlworld £15.00 anytime internet package as my isp at home.

Everything fine.

Now I want to send e-mail on my P800 via ntlworld dialup

I understand the 0800 number is no good, so I have created a new account but with their pay as you go 08454550520

I managed to send one e-mail today out of many many tries.

Does anyone else know how to get it to work all the time!

thanks any help very much appreciated

N

hmmm, not used dialup, but i'm on NTl broadband, and i'm using my P800 to receive emails thru my Orange GPRS connection fine, but having problems sending them, when i try to send it comes up that there is a problem with either the To: Bc: or Cc: fields, but when i check them there's nothing wrong!

yeh, i can recieve email from my account just by using the pop3 settings through wap, but their is definately a problem with sending, i think i read somewhere that some ISP's dont allow you to? but then surely programs like outlook wouldn't work, and they do. Well i'm not too sure about it all so anybody want to help??

I am getting the same problems with sending e-mails on the Orange GPRS connection, I can receive fine.

I am finding that I am eating into my included MBs like mad, so I thought I would have an alternative for e-mail send & recieve

ntl would be great for me and you eleventy7 by the sound of it.

can anyone send e-mail via ntl ?

what are other UK Orange users doing to SEND e-mail ?

thanks

N

wasn't aware that i could use NTL dialup from my fone tbh m8, but i'd probably find it too slow compared to GPRS anyway. Spoke to evoke (one of the other Esatoans from the UK thread) today and he said he's having the same problems

I dont think we can send e-mail via ntl on GPRS using ntl EXCEPT to another ntl e-mail address

I've been able to sent to other ntl e-mail addresses with Orange GPRS

Try it

I cant e-mail say a lineone e-mail address though, so i figure I need dialup with ntl for this.

Does anyone know anything about http://www.myrealbox.com ?

K, well hopefully i will have GPRS set up soon, and apparently it's free also as O2 haven't discovered certain users are getting it for free! It's the genie sim one on PAYG.
