I got some freebie software that does the trick - well, it plays the midi, displays the notes, and exports them as Nokia RTTTL format - from MerWin's WWW site (bespin.org, or somesuch - when I get home I'll check the hyperlink...)

You can also use the Meoldy composer from Christersson (http://www.christersson.org/) to smooth out the files if necessary. I've found Merwin/Christersson's software spot-on for getting the tones I want into my phone.
