I was really disappointed.

-Phone crashed twice in just one day
-Calender app crashed when listening to mp3
-Touchscreen felt really soft/floppy
-Synconization w/ outlook took 10 minutes (even when nothing changed)
-Outlook categories were not supported (tasks were synced to unfiled)
-the "docking station" is a joke

Are some of the above issues solved in recent software updates...?

Phone hasn't crashed in the week that I've had it

Not sure what you're on about

-Synconization w/ outlook took 10 minutes (even when nothing changed)

Synch takes about 20 sec if nothing has changed

-Outlook categories were not supported (tasks were synced to unfiled)

Yup, this is one area that needs to be improved

-the "docking station" is a joke

Never even raised a smile with me - obviously different senses of humour

I've had mine for two weeks now. It didn't crash once. I am very happy with my P800. Although a bigger battery would be nice.

My P800 crashed at least 10 times the first month with SW R1b. After I upgraded to R1d(Norwegian) 4 weeks ago, it hasn't crashed once.

By the way: A complete sync after the upgrade(copying hundreds of contacts, tasks et.c to the phone took only about 1-2 min. An ordinary sync is done in seconds
