I read somewhere that profiles will be done shortly by some 3rd party company. Anyone heard about this?

yeah, it's really a nag to either put the phone in flight mode or to restrict incomming calls and disable SMS sounds.

Is there no silent mode for the phone?!
I usually send messages in university, and during lectures need the volume off quickly.. can this not be quickly done?

You can easily turn on silent mode by forward pulling on the jogdial. It brings up a menu that allows you to turn on the keylock, turn on the silent mode and some other stuff.
So, basically, jogdial pull, and the number 2 will switch it to silent mode.
It Sounds pretty easy to add profiles for a 3rd company.
I personally don't need it, but I can see how many others would.
