I got my 1st scratch today only 1 mm but not the point

I was not using my Brando because the sticky paper stuck when i tried to remove it.

I am using it now I didn't realise these screens do really scatch.

I have bought some diplex screen polish from http://www.scratchremover.co.uk/

I have now found this post from someone on esato........

DON'T USE DISPLEX! That stuff is NOT designed (on P800) for the "soft" cover on touchscreens. You'll melt the plastic (I'm not kidding).

Has anyone tried Diplex screen polish on the P800

thank in advance

N

Well, that was a post that was written to me in first place...
I did contact the Displex company and they told me by e-mail that the display would be damaged if Displex is used on it...
I also have a few few tiny scratches on my P800...looks like soft, white, almost transparace small lines... you know what I mean. I want to remove these and then put a screen protector on. If you find out how, give me a post please!

Best regards, Patrik

How did you get these scratches? I have ordered my brando screen protection but itll prolly take a week to get it and im kinda scared i will get a scratch before.

that would be a major disappointment :/

I have been really carefull

I only keep it in my empty (nothing else in it) inside jacket pocket when I go out.

I dont let anyone touch it except people I know *really* well.

My brother doesn't always wash his hands after going for a pee, he has NOT touched it. He has tried a few times but I move it away from him.

I think the scratch (my girlfiend can't even see it but I can) happened when the phone fell off my car seat after making a call when pulling away. It fell on the rubber mat but it has a very slight 1 mm scratch now.

To be fair, it is not too bad, it is probably just me, but I can see problems in the future without the screen protector.

It now stays on

well to most people they cant see scratch or think it is not that bad, but to the p800 lovers it does make a different, we all just want our baby(p800) to be nice for ever

Wow, you got ripped off on your Displex. Should have checked eBay or with me.

Anyway, as a dealer I am in constant contact with the manufacturers of Displex to get feedback about new products that have been tested. They have no feedback yet regarding the P800. They don't want to promote using it on the P800 YET but they will also not say that it doesn't work. Like me and every other P800 user, they are waiting to here from someone who've used it on their P800.

I will definitely leave feedback when I have used Displex on my P800, because I will someday, when I receive my first scratch (I don't want to scratch it pre-maturely).

Until then I recommend anyone with a T68 or non-P800 phone to use Displex to remove scratches because it is an awesome LCD scratch remover.

Thanks!

Ok, guys. Here´s the e-mail i sent to Displex and also the answer. I remove the name of the person who answered me...don't wanna put their names up without permisson...

Hello!
I have bought your display polish...
But I am worried...I have a Sony Ericsson P800!
is it possible to use the polish on this phone? The reseller said it was Ok, but I do have my doubts. It is a more soft touch sensitive display.
Can you please help me?

Best regards, Patrik
Sweden

And the answer

Dear Patrik,

thanks for your e-mail. DISPLEX is only for hard and plan displays. For soft displays it is not suitable. So please do not use it on this special display…
You also can use it on plastic watch glasses.

Thanks and best regards,
XXX

So, what else shall i say? This was the answer. I'm not lying to you. I have no reasons to do. This is 100% true. Believe me...

Take care!

/ Patrik
