OK, I've just upgraded from a Nokia 8310 to a T68i, but I am going to need a lot of convincing not to take advantage of the 14 day cooling off period and change it for a 7650. The phone itself is OK, apart from the screen and the build quality (it feels very flimsy and the screen looks very washed out). But it's the software to link to a PC and the lack of any instructions on how to set it up that really gets to me. I can't believe that a company a big as Sony can release software like this (extndConnect). Getting it to work is so hit and miss, with no clear instructions anywhere, it's almost like SE don't wan't anyone to sync with a PC. Nokia link software comes with clear instructions on how to set it up, and works straight away, so it is possible.
Has anyone had any continued success with this software, and if so how?
Can anyone convince me to keep this thing?

man you sound just like me,
in the long run you will miss the t68i man trust me. mine came with a camera and that made me want it more.
i had it for a few days and took it back for the simplistic nokie 6590i, but i being around my friend with their color screens and poly phonic ringtones made me want the t68i back so i got it and im happy with i.

dont worry man i know how you feel read my other post.

you jus have to hang on throughout that 14 day period.

I don't get how you can say the t68i feels flimsy.. what is flimsy about it??? strange... get a bluetooth dongle with the latest drivers (check some of the other threads for best info on the dongle and drivers..) I just downloaded the PCcontrol software and it is awsome. I can control WinAmp with my phone wirelessly.. soooo cool... good luck... with what ever you do.. roger

Compare the T68i with the 7650? That seems unfair. 7650 is a later phone with more features. True, T68i pc syncing is a bit primitive, but I figure assumed typical users would use it more as a phone and less as a primary pim. Thats my guess anyway. Regardless, they provided software for techie-types who wanted to sync it never-the-less. A more fair comparison would be the 7650 vs P800. Apparently the P800 ships with superior syncing tools.

if the screen looks washed out, try adjusting the contrast unser the settings- display menu.

well i can understand how it feels flimsy, when i first got my t68i i thought i was going to break it because of its thinner plastic compared to the harden nokia which are made strong. But hopnestly the t68i embodies alot of what todays phone technology is turning into. bluetooth, camera, mms, colorscreen, voice record, all it needs now is polyphonics and videorecord.

also the nokia 7650i is a cool phone my friend and the screen is a lot more liquid like but look at the price.that phone is EXPENSIVE compared to what you are getting you can get the t68i for 100-150 bucks.

SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT
