Hope some one can help out I've been trying for hours to to connect via dail up. Here is the set up

IBM Thinkpad running Win 2000 Profesional
SE P800
TDK BUD
ISP: Freeserve

I have installed the TDK 1.3.2.7 drivers, I have established a partnership and can connect to the P800 to sync with Outlook...works like dream. But, I just can't establish a connection to the P800 modem to dail out to the ISP

Any pointers or help much appriciated

If you mean problem on data dialing from ibm over gsm, then have you signed csd data subscription w/ your net provider? This message was posted from a R520

Do you have a data subscription with your line? Data/GPRS/WAP/CSD-HSCSD/Internet access are all separate services that have to be activated one by one. Call your provider and have them activated.

To call a land-based ISP via your mobile might cost you more than just using your cellualr provider's gateway, since you'llbe billed 2x.

But if you really want to dial-in...you have to activate your data services.

Thanks for the fast reply...

I'm with Orange, Data/GPRS/WAP/CSD-HSCSD/Internet access is enabled, I can connect via GPRS to my mail account (orange.net) send and receive mail browse the internet from the handset. I can also connect to my email account via GPRS WAP. I have also set up a second WAP dail up to my Freeserve email account and again can connect send and receive mail.

I just can't figure out why I'm havinf problems making the connection over Bluetooth using the P80o as a modem.

Keep the suggestions comming!!

May try IR first to make it clear. If conneting, then problem is at your bluetooth adaptor side. This message was posted from a R520

'And please, please don't start new threads with the subject: "I need help". You should be able to describe your problem more accurate than this phrase. '
