It already looks a billion times better than the Z1010!!! And I see it uses the existing Ericsson batteries for the T28-R520 series. That's good!!! And from the size of the battery, it seems to be only slightly larger than the T39! Even better!!!

Why couldn't the final Z1010 look like this instead???

The current Z1010 looks like a make-up compact.

Its says test unit on it - that's probably all it is. SE said that the networks had a phone with the same hardware as the Z1010, but just to test the network. I mean look at it, it has got the old Ericsson design and a SE sticker on the battery - that certainly doesn't look like a production model to me.

agreed

it have all the T39 and T28 curve/ look/ feel and design on it. But SE have make a few statement tht they want to have an image of its own.

So this model "might" not make it to the market.

Well the truth will reveal in coming 2 weeks ...maybe "all (include me"" who won't believe it mgiht be wrong.

Ya, I can understand SEs attempts to be unique... but you don't have to be ugly to be unique!

I mean, compare the 'prototype' Z1010 to the final release... the final release looks so bland! The Ericsson version had more character, and had a more distinct look. The new Z1010 looks just like any other clamshell phone on the market.

I mean, the P800 was bordering ugly already...thank God they allowed us to remove the horrible flip.

The T300 is a step back (design wise) from the T68i.

Seems to me that SE wants to blend into the background more than stand out.

That can't be a real production unit, can it be? I don't understand the top part - no keys - just speaker holes and a bunch of empty space. Now if that happens to be the back panel, then maybe it can work. Wonder what the other side looks like. They should just remove the top part - then it would be better.

Uhm..it IS the back panel... the speaker holes are for the polyphonic tones, mutlimedia speaker.

This thing is basically the Z1010 with a much better design...too bad it won't go into production.

So you're saying its going to have that huge display on the *back*? And another large screen on the inside? Hmmm... interesting.
