Hi,
Does anybody know if there is a way to change the default passkey of the T68?
I managed to find out what the passkey is by trial and error. Something which is not stated in the manual, nor were Ericsson Support able to help with; a bit poor really.

Didn't know there was a default passkey on the T68... I use TDK Bluetooth PC-card and when I paired it with my T68, I just choosed a numeric code on my laptop and when I choosed to pair on my T68 it asked for the passkey. Just entered the same code as I entered on my laptop, and thats it... Maybe I didn't understood your question???

I think you have to enter this pass key when pairing any two bluetooth devices as it asked me when I paired up to T68s I think it's more of a reference number for each device as opposed to a password type feature - I think

MaKSiNG: What is the default PASSkey number? I needed it too, when trying to connect two T68 phones. But I never found it, and nobody could give me the answer in an earlier thread.
Thanks
Gaston.

I synced two phones the other day and i'm sure I justed typed 1 for both of them. failing that try 1 for one phone and then 2 for the other.
Like I said in my earlier post its not a password kind of thing but more of a reference number for each device

The passkey is the kind of Code you have to key in in order to pair two BT devices.
there is NO DEFAULT passkey for the T68.
If yoo pair 2 devices you key in the passkey on the phone (for example 1234, you decide it). After a second or so a message box appears on the second device asking for a passkey. You type in THE SAME CODE as on the T68.
You can choose the code yourself.
I tried this by connectiong to portable PCs (3 different ones, Phones (even 2 Nokias

)and it always worked.
For Golden BOY: the passkey is a kind of ID to avoid others connecting without you knowing.

Herboan,
thank you for your help.
However, I guarantee you that I tried the same number on BOTH T68s. It did not work (the devices DID succeed in finding eachother).
Have you tried to connect two T68 phones?

anything you would have done previously using a cable or InfraRed can now be done via Bluetooth so long as both devices are Bluetooth.
