I am interesed in using (and very close to ordering) a P800 for on-line banking and the occasional surf on the internet, but I do not want to be limited to pages that only work with Pocket Internet Explorer or older versions of Internet explorer (Version 4 and older).
So does the P800 with opera allow you browser the web as you normally would with IE ???
If not what are the limitations of the P800 and Opera when using the web?

I can't access my online bank account www.smile.co.uk using Opera but I have only ever been able to connect using a proper PC browser. Website uses a secure programme it installs onto PC and never worked with any portable PDA device. Also had a few problems logging onto my ebay account.

@jayv...so you're using the internet.globe.com.ph gateway??!?!
I can't use Opera over the
http://www.globe.com.ph gateway... only the internet one.
post-paid... if you use the internet gateway you're charged P0.50/KB BOTH WAYS... not just received data, but total data.
Opera also seems to have problems logging into Hotmail...this might be because M$ and Opera are fighting.
