Hello,
I own a Ericsson R320s but I am sure the subject affects all Ericsson models with the capability to show the estimated "hours remaining" of battery life.
Mine started at 93 hours and in the course of about 2,5 years has drifted down to 81 hours. I do not believe that the battery capacity is slowly failing because when I leave the phone to reach about 0 hours then suddenly it finds an extra 10-20 hours !.
I strongly believe it is a software bug and this is proven by the simple fact that when talking the indicator does not go down faster. The indicator always goes down steadily like a clock (ie it really counts phone uptime !). Indeed I have to power down the phone and then power up it again in order to have a (supposedly) correct reading.
I think there must be an internal place in memory where battery capacity is stored and by some algorithmic bug (repeated roundings ?) this capacity is going down. Has anyone solved this problem ? (I guess by a method that makes the phone forget the stored capacity value and reestablish a new one).
Thanks,
