All SonyEricsson is trying to do is to intrduce a new phone in the market so they can win more clients and for all the non T68m and Ericsson users Some people look at my phone (the T68m) and say "ahh its an Ericsson"and dont even bother looking at the features but tend to be more fond of a Nokia 8310 for christs sake, our T68 is the T68i our upgrade will be all the T68i has to offer THATS 100%

Hey John,
Hope you are right... I am confused a lot from this story. I have read all posts here concerning the new T68i. I have many doubts though... I don't know if it will become a retail product or just stay as beta not for commercial use. After all, there are many questions. Why in any case do such a move? I don't know... I don't think its a good marketing strategy. A company of course is trying to get more customers, but what about the existing ones? Don't forget that the tendency is not just to sell goods, but also to have good after sales services. It doesn't makes any sence to me this movement. And why is not telling anything about it?
I sent today a mail to asking for some clarifications regarding this matter. We'll see!
The only thing we have to do is to wait.

look the way i see it they are not losing any existing t68 owners because they are offering the t68i upgrade to our t68m so why are people all upset,as for the memory space both phones are the same thing the existing t68 (our) has unused memory space they have already mentioned that earlier

John > Couldn't agree with you more!

As I stated in a previous post....

I think that the T68i is actually a prudent move on SonyEricssons part. They want the success of the T68 not to be solely attributed to Ericsson. From a business perspective it is the right thing to do, the SonyEricsson brand will be well regarded before a ‘true’ SonyEricsson’s is actually released.

It takes sometime to design and mass produce phones, I really do believe that the only differences (apart from the obvious firmware changes) are cosmetic, infact I’m willing to put money on it.

I don’t see what all the fuss is about.

I find that mindless Nokia fans are wowed by its compact size and colour screen. Impress them with background pictures, colour games, and the "cute little menu icons". HA! Does YOUR Nokia do THAT, eh?

*Blood boils* Sony-Ericsson is the future.

Exactly its just that the nokia fans have there heads rammed up there ass so far that they have forgotten about the REAL hi tech phones,The T68 offers a lot of more extras that the 8310 doesnt,eg Bluetooth,e-mail,soon MMS,colored screen, themes, backgrounds, wap sync, picture animation maker and many more, the only good thing the 8310 has is the built in radio.....Big shit!!!
