> New SE phones - changing covers!?
Bookmark topic
One thing that sells me a phone is the ability to change as much of the casing as possible. I know you can replace the whole cover of the t68 if you unscrew everything, but I'm talking about X-Press on covers and the sort....
How much of the t610 and t310 covers can you change?? I know the front and back of the t610 can be changed, but what about the shiny black part that covers the screen??
This is the most important part for me, as I want to be able to change this when I've scratched my screen....

"real" designers? So SE phones can have thin, flimsy covers?
In any case, the T300 and 310, the "youth" line of phones, has exchangeable "express-on" covers. The T610, being a high-end phone, doesn't. This is a trend you will see in other phone manufacturers as well.

So, Superluminova.... maybe u can tell us what beautiful things have u designed! IMHO t610 looks great (unlike these peaces of junk looking like toys, made by some finnish company

) It's just a matter of taste. Unfortunately... u don't have it...

Well, I'm undecided on the design.
I didn't like the T68i at first, but after owning it, it really grew on me.
I don't really like the T300, but after using it for a while it doesn't seem so bad. I don't like Nokia 7210, 6610, 3650, or 7250, but I LOVE the sexy little 6100.
SonyEricsson seem to be using some kind of 'clean' box design, like Ikea furniture! It's not inspirational, but I think that the design will last, and be somewhat future-proof.
Designers tend to make things too exciting (7210, Siemens S55) and it doesn't work for me. They need to be balanced. The lines need to flow together. That's why I like the Nokia 6100, for the same reasons I like the T68i. But I also appreciate the T610 for it's bold, clean figure. And it's small:- square phones only look good if they are tiny, otherwise they are just bricks.

iam a design student and i'll think you'll find that i said that it was my view that i don't like the t610 which doesn't mean i haven't got taste!
if you want great design you should hire great designers such as Ive, Starck, Inflate, IDEO, Frog, Alessi and many more if you want boring everyday design go with the Se guys at least the designers at nokia are thinking outside of the box and using things that we have never seen before!
just please for the life of me will you give me a bloody curve please, and uniformed design its not hard! simple things work best!
this is just MY OPINION thank you, and please don't try and slate me when you don't know what you are talking about
