With the new T610 not having a VGA camera, I thought that it would be technically behind other phones (eg, 7250).
Then I found out that most integrated cameras only go up to 288x352:

T610 - 288x352
Nokia 7250 - 288x352
Sharp GX10 - 288x352
Panasonic GD87 - 132x276 (tiny

)
So the only ones with integrated VGA are:

P800
Nokia 7650, 3650
Any phones I missed out? - Shame the T610 isn't VGA

Siemens SX1 -> VGA (640x480)
Neonode N1 -> VGA (640x480)
Sagem My-X6 -> VGA (640x480)
SonyEricsson A1301S -> VGA (640x480)

Well......T610's camera is mainly used for MMS or viewing it on the phone ! Which is good enough already! If you need high resolution photos, get the digitial camera instead !!

if SE took the time to kick in a camera in the phone wouldenīt it be better if they did it properly. yes its fun to send mms to friends and so on. but itīs no good to email to a comupter. just a tiny little pic
dont forget your magnifier =)
(why not VGA?)

personally, I find QVGA to be just fine for mobile messaging. Actually, I've found VGA phone cams take too long to take a shot... 7650, and even the P800. I keep mine on QVGA if I'm just sending an MMS. The CCD takes sharper pics as well in this setting. I think the 7650 and P800...and other VGA phone cams get this resolution by interlacing... so it's kind of pointless.
I still want video w/ audio recording on my P800. Once this app is released by SE (hopefully on schedule in April) I'll be happy.
