On page 10 of the white-paper, there's this beautiful concept phone in the image.

I love the looks of this phone!

See bottom of page 54:
Support for instant messaging: NO. So i guess it means no ICQ on t610?

And still no long-range bluetooth...

Yes, this was Lara Crofts Communicator...

This was the very first incarnation of the P800, FYI.

But have you seen this thing in real life?!?!?!? It's HUGE!!! It's bigger than an iPaq!!! And 1" thick!!!

Where's ICQ.......
Anyway, it seems that it's just an old version of white paper (Dec 02),
as the spec just shows that only one colour will be available.

I am disappointed after reading this for:
1. Only 510 numbers in phonebook, means no improvement in the phonebook
2. No GIF Animation support in WAP (cannot shown while browsing)
3. No information about whether it is equipped with TFT or STN LCD
4. No font size selection (But it is not a big deal)
5. Confirmed, 2MB is for all applications, not enough (for me)
6. No speakerphone (need me to buy a speaker desk stand)
7. No Sony Ericsson's own PC Suite for syncronization

But I like these things:
1. AMR speech coding supported
2. No features is cuted in Chinese version
3. Notes is available
4. Six themes is pre-loaded (I hope pre-loaded stuffs will not reduce that 2MB memory space)

But it seems that there are quite many errors in the paper,
for example, colours and battery used, stated in the "Exterior description" table

Hmm, page 6 max gif size = 160x120 that means that it's impossible to fill the screen (128x160) withan GIF image. Some of you might ask what is the piont since GIF have only 256 colours, but you forget that thse 256 could be any colour (no pallete restrictions anymore).

Seems like this whitepaper is quite old. The Chinese version of the T610 is called T612. But if you read the press release from Mach 4, you'll find out that the Chinese version is named T618.

So it might be that have added an ICQ application after the creation of the whitepaper.

Read the first paragraph under "Pictures" on page 6: "Pictures is the T610/12's image viewer. It enables you to view and organise your photographs, including pictures taken by the built-in camera plus images loaded from elsewhere, such as received via e-Mail"...

It seems that the document needs some revisions. Perhaps is preliminary.

Regards!
