Hi,

Ive tried searching for the last 2 days but i'm still stuck:

I'm tring to send pictures via e-mail. My phone works with wap via vodafone Live on GPRS, but i cant send pictures.

Could some one tell me what settings should be( or point me to where i can find them), or how to delete all settings and start from scratch( i have ordinary dial up settings and gprs).

Cheers
Phil.

I've started again, so these are the settings i'm trying to use

Data Account: Vodafone
GSM data
Phone number = +447836900808
user id = user@vodafone.net
password = ****
password requset = off
data rate = 9.6
dial type = isdn
dns address = (blank)

This enables me to use wap, so now my e-mail settings

connect using = vodafone data account
protocol = pop3
inc. server = 62.213.128.80
incoming port = 110
mailbox = (my e-mail address)@vodafone.net
password = (my password)
outgoing server = 62.213.128.92
outgoing port = 25
e-mail address = (my email address)@vodafone.net

I got the server numbers from another post on here, are they still current? i get the message "server not found" when itry to mail from the phone.

Can anyone see whats wrong with these settings?

Cheers
Phil.

Is your e-mail address actually with Vodafone then?

Yes, the e-mail address works with outlook, using the same settings, should this work with the phone? or am i missing something?

Thanks
Phil.

I'm not sure mate, I use my BT openworld e-mail and that works fine.

Do you use vodafone to dial up?

Well at the moment I don't use anything cause my phones in repair!
But I've got the Vodafone WAP settings and also the Ericsson WAP settings, and until I get my phone back I can't remember what I actually use.
Just do a search in the forum and I'm sure you'll find the answers you're looking for.

I have got the e-mail working now, but i can only send pictures using GPRS.

I'll have to wait for my next bill to see how much it costs!

Thanks for help
Phil.

I have a T68i on Vodafone (GSM) and an email account from BT Openworld and can't get email to work. WAP works fine though so I don't think it's the connection and I've put in the settings from another thread but still get 'server not found'.

Any help or hand holding would be great.

e-vans,

Yes i had(have) a similar problem, my WAP access works both with gprs and gsm data accounts. However my e-mail (sending communicam pics to my PC) will only work when using gprs.

Its a bit annoying as my gsm dial up for WAP is included in free talktime and gprs probably isn't (haven't got a bill yet)

I think vodafone have probably done this on purpose!

Phil.

P.S The GPRS settings which work to send e-mail were sent from the SE configuration website. The gsm data accounts from SE site won't work with my e-mail.
