> No need to buy WorldMate for P800 right?
Bookmark topic
MobiMate today announced an agreement with Sony Ericsson to bundle its WorldMate travel application with the P800 mobile phone.
http://www.pdastreet.com/articles/2003/3/2003-3-5-WorldMate-Bundled-with.html
So I guess the people who already bought it for $20 USD wasted their money... all the new P800 will have this program for free... I wonder if they will allow it as a free download for existing P800 owners who dont have it yet??

CORRECTION:
"P800 customers will be offered a free trial version of WorldMate on a CD bundled with the device. "
so it's just the trial.

Any idea why Worldmate doesn't allow you to check weather for your home city?
Thanks!

Seems totally daft that I can't check the weather forecast for my home town, which is in the list - Exeter, UK. If this is the case it's a stupid program in my opinion and I won't be registering it. I wrote to them yesterday about it but no reply as of yet, but I'm not holding my breath. Cheers!

That's sad!
I have tryed World Mate out and I think it is a nifty program. Great currency converter and it functions great.
I can even check weather in my hometown: Reykjavík, Iceland. But that's the only town here in Iceland.... but it covers more than half of the total Population.
I would prefer to have Akureyri on the list too, it's te second major town here in Iceland.

They could have implemented a country-wide general forecast for the UK by region at least, if you're not on one of their listed cities. I agree the currency and world time are great.
They DID reply as follows:
Dear Mate
If the cloud icon is missing, then it means that this location is currently not supported for weather updates, hopefully it will be supported on the next version.
