> Problems with HBH-60
Bookmark topic
So I got the HBH-60 a few days ago. It's my first bluetooth headset and I'm having various problems:
-Connection drops during phone call
-Quality of voice is sometimes very bad. I've been told I sound like I'm underwater and sometimes I cannot hear the other party.
-Voice commands don't always work (very seldom work).
-Caller hears their own echo during conversation with me.
-Sometime phone freezes (this has only happened since the HBH-60 as I've had no problems with bluetooth connection with computer)
-Sometimes headset doesn't connect to phone when needing to answer call.
Anyone have comments/suggestions to improve my HBH-60 experience.
I'm using a T68i phone.
Thanks,

Thanks lazarini,
Seems my software version is R5D007. That would make it very old huh? I'll upgrade the software hoping that it'll fix my problems.
Great board!!

Don't know if this helps but I just bought a HBH-30 and in the box was a notice from SE and it states:-
"If you own a Sony Ericsson T68i mobile phone, you might have to upgrade it with new software to obtain optimal performance with the Bluetooth Headset HBH-30.
Please contact your local dealer for help with the software upgrade.
Note: For optimal performance, the T68i should have software version R2E0006, or later"
Bottom line is check your software version of your T68i. If may have the same issues with the HBH-60.

What is your bluetooth operation mode?
If you set it on automatic, sometime you can lost connection especially after you off one of the device.
I tried voice command on HBH60 before...whenever I use automatic, normally it failed.
But I am using T39 which is a different phone.....but advisable to upgrd as mentioned.

I keep the phone on bluetooth on all the time (drains the battery fast).
I have noticed that the "underwater" effect that I described is when I'm driving. Is it common when driving to have slightly distorted voice?
I'll try the software upgrade first and see how it goes.

i get what you mean.
this seem to happen if you are having a bumpy ride.
the person I am talking to always complain I talk like a robot whenever I pass thru a bumpy road while going back home.
I am not sure this is severe on Hbh-30 or not but it is a bit obvius/iritating on HBH60....well i don't mind tht coz the receiver of my call still manage to hear what i am talking.
one more thing, try not to get your air conditioner vent facing the microphone....tht make the voice quality really bad.
