well, what i am trying to do here is set up a community for all users in inida on different networks. we could then exchxnge info, help each other with set up, gprs, email, problems etc.

for instance, i am on hutch in delhi and my gprs and internet works perfectly but for the life of me i cannot get my pop3 meail account working.

i have now been told that i need a gprs account that is not wap to get email on the p800.

do you have email and does it work
what network are you on

hows your reception

ia m very frustrated with my signal quality. i ahve even posted another message asking info for an external antenna

okat everybody from india, lets start leaving messages on this thread starting now

I am from Hyderabad. I have a P800. Bought it as soon as it was released from the official SE dealer. It cost me Rs.38,000. I have an Idea connection. I can easily retrive my POP mail using wap.

wow. finally somebody from india. man, you sure are lucky. so tell me, your configuration for your pop3 email. is the connection you use the same as your gprs connection for your internet browsing. by this i mean, does idea give you different internet configurations for internet browsing and email or are they the same.also are you happy with the signal strength of the p800. for instance, did u have better signal strength with your previous phone or this one?thanks man and good hearing from you This message was posted from a P800
