Just got my P800 home after months of waiting. Problem, I cant sync it with my laptop. It uses windows XP.

On the phone connection link it says that the USB port is connected, but when I double click on My P800 it says not connected.

Someone help b4 I go mad

on phone - control panel / conections / cable - enable pc conect - NOT MODEM !

Plug the docking station into a different USB port. Or, open the "phone connection link" and un-check, then check the COM port used by the cradle.

I had this where it connection icon said I was connected but either a didn't get the P800 icon or the P800 icon would not show the drives.

I eventually ended up doing a clean install of XP then my apps. & everything OK since then.

Try lifting of the cradle when coonection icon showing connected the put straight back on again.

In control panel on PC in classic view mode, select Phone Monitor options and make sure connection/phone is shown there. Try reserving the com port for exclusive access.

Problem solved today after ringing SE.

I had a Norton firewall activated when installing the software, de installed it, disabled firewall and re installed software. Now works a treat
