I have tried a few times and have been unable to do so. I think this could be changed with a SE software update, but I have head nothing about it. Maybe you could email SE and ask them....

u cannot record a phone call in the p800, SE did not forget it they did it on purpess for legal reasons they realised that ppl were recording phone calls without the other persons concent and so didnt add this feature

Yep, but its not admissable in a court of law unless a person can prove that the other person agreed to the recording of their conversation.

In the Siemens SL45i manual it says that you should get the other callers permission before recording the conversation. This is pretty normal and I'm sure SE could have done the same thing.

Sony Z5 also could record 30sec chunck (enough to take a number/address dictated to you)
Also miss this feature on the P800.
Also think that it is silly that is missing because malicious recording can still be made from the headphones/loudspeaker/etc

there are really easy ways around the restrictions:
1. Record only one side of the conversation (just the one holding the phone).

2. When a recording starts, make a special kind of noise ("RECORDING"). or something like that...
