anyone know where i can get my SIM card cloned? not for illegal purposes u understand. i just dont want to be carrying my precious p800 round with me at nite (i mean who could blame someone for wanting to steal it!?). also i do NOT want to be taking the sim card in and out of the p800 and my other fone, it'll get scratched, stop working and it'll take me ages to get another from O2! i just want a copy of it in each fone so that i can turn one fone off then turn the other on, no hassle
Cheers

I wish I could help, I'm in the exact same situation. I want to use my P800 during the week (for work mainly, Stunt Racer helps the meetings fly by

) but at weekends and evenings I would like to carry something smaller and less stealable. I'm on Voda at the mo so I might get in touch with them and ask if they can do a duplicate.

Operators do not allow this. You can order a SIM cloning machine for about $200 I think... If I remember, it's called the Super SIM... just type "Super SIM" in Google...it should bring it up. It comes with a SIM read/writer and one Super SIM that can hold multiple SIMs in it. (I think it can hold 5 SIMs or so) And you can switch between SIMs just by restarting your phone...works like the multiple SIM holder, except this is just one SIM.

No, it isn't active at the same time.
There is a danger with a 3rd party service... they could make a copy of YOUR sim and use it.
This is how a SIM copy works...
the LAST sim to log on is the active one. So if the 'service' makes a copy of your SIM, all they have to do is pop in a copy of your SIM, then make calls... your phone will be rejected, so you restart your phone... everything is ok again. Until they restart their phone, in which case...the cycle repeats.
When you buy your own SIM copier, at least you can be sure that only YOU have a copy of your own SIM.

I bought a copy of my SIM from my provider (Orange).
Basically, it was a onetime fee and both phones ring at the same time (I use it for my car phone, so I can keep the good phone turned off while driving).
The only problem is that it has its own number for SMSs - it does not receive SMS messages sent to my regular number, and the origin number when sending SMSs is different than my regular number.
