> Extracting network related info from phone

Hi .. can anyone tell me if it is possible to connect to my T68i and extract/view the various GSM network parameters that the phone receives over the air? Like signal strength and signal to noise ratio or even the cell ID of the base station to which my phone is tuned?
I live on a border area between two cells and the stronger signal is from a base station that doesn't provide GPRS service and therefore i want to tune my phone to the weaker signal which has GPRS. I'm using an external antenna but i want to find out exactly which base station my mobile is talking to and how much the signal strength is.
This used to be possible in Ericsson TDMA/AMPS phones where you could go into the engineering mode and find out these parameters.
Please let me know if anyone has any ideas on this?
Thanks!

you can activate channel info/GPRS channel info on
phones... this however, must be done at a servicepoint.
