The nokia 3650 has it and it's irritating me, why can't p800 have it..

A friend of mine who works for Symbian said that there will be a video application for the P800 sometime soon. This is to compete with the forthcoming Siemens SX-1.

u may be aware that nokia's own 7650 was going to support video record/playback in mp4 format but they did not think it would go well for them, makeing money wise (they didnt think that there second (3650) OS powerd phone, would do well with the same features as 7650)
and so they scrapet that from every 7650 exsept the german firmware if im correct germen people can update there firmware with this tech acording to
www.thefuturelook.com which is run by the phone company the link.
and so maybe the P800's video takeing software will be much like the same recording at 15 frames a sec?

They are advertising the Nokia video recording here.
The ad is a large family with a bride & groom standing in line to complain that their phone is broken. The bride's dad goes to the lady at the desk and complains that his phone is malfunctioning. He says that they were taking a video of the wedding (he plays the video out to her while he's talking) using the phone, and that he suddenly hears strange beeping noises from the phone.
While he's talking, the phone actually rings and he tells her "it's making beeping noises - see?". i.e., he thought he was buying a video camera and not a phone...
Anyway, looks like the P800 has a bit of catching up to do.
