I use the P800 excusively without the flip.

I notice sometimes if the phone has been in my pocket the app has changed.

I know I can have a screensaver lock than comes on after 1 minute, but I could still make a call by mistake in that time.

What do you guys do?

My automatic Key lock in 'locks' seems to have no effect, am I missing something here?

The other thing how does every (no flip) P800 owner end a call? I find pressing the jog dial doesn't always seem to work, & I end up pressing dial pad & end

what would be handy (for me) would be a simple ON OFF where by a tap say in the bottom right of the screen causes the phone to go into screensaver

Taping in the same area again would bring up the desktop again.

In would only have to be a small square say 1 Sq mm .

Perhaps a 3rd party software could do this

Would still like to hear what 'no flip' experienced P800 owner do

I have the same problems - also wonderring what everyone else does...

I end up having to use the virtual flip, then keylock but this isnt easy to unlock...

Andy P nice to know I'm not alone.

I'm finding the occasional call isn't ended completely, which is not good.

It really needs to be totally fool proof this sort of thing.

Perhaps my 3rd party software idea would cure it if when clicking on the small area it ended the call too............


...........anyone else with any ideas?

ps

I'm sure putting the flip on would cure it but I much prefer the P800 looks etc without it

I tend to keep an eye on the little phone symbol at the end of the call as the other party hangs up, if it goes i put the phone back in my pocket, if it doesnt I worry about it.

Usually after putting my phone back in my pocket as described above I pull it out slightly later to find that ive editted some of the contacts in the first positions of the memory...

Use the virtual flip....
It's a drag but the only way I think.

I don't understand why you guys use it without the keypad...
It's not in the way when you use the phone and it has some nice functions(like key lock, speakerphone, exiting edoom when my teacher aproaches).

Personally, I'd like to see an option to use the jog dial for unlocking the screen. Then I don't need to worry about it accidentally unlocking (I think an accidental depress on the jog wheel is pretty unlikely) and I can unlock quickly without enabling the virtual flip, which I avoid using when possible.
