hi,
does anybody know which is the difference between 'automatic' and 'off' in the bluetooth operation mode menu?
i mean ...if my t68 is in 'automatic' mode it's the same as it's 'off' ...if i try to search for peripherals with my ipaq ...it doesn't find anything ...while when it's 'on' it works well.

If you set it to off then thats what it is. OFF. and you won't be able to start it up via the menus but if you set it to automatic and then tell it to recieve something then it will become discoverable for 3 minutes and then switch off. Also setting it to on is permanantely on - i.e. checks every so often or constantly on while its charging

Thanks,
I understood!:) I thought that 'automatic' was some sort of 'silent listening' of the BT radio ...without draining too much battery.

MDKIA > the "automatic" mode is pretty much meant for bluetooth-headset-use.

When you leave phone on automatic, the phone will pick up the call, and the bluetooth turns on, and the call transfer to the headset.

When You use e.g. laptops, pda's with the phone, most of the time it needs to be "connected",..meaning "ON".

The "automatic-mode" does not drain battery.
The "on-mode" does.
