Do you have a P800 icon on your desktop and when you put the P800 in cradle to you get a P800 icon on task tray at bottom RH corner? This message was posted from a P800

With your P800 in the cradle, drag the files you want to transfer to the P800 icon on your desktop. Alternatively, open Windows Explorer - the P800 should be in the folder list.

I assume you know how to copy and paste within Windows. Using file explorer you can see a P800 which you can expand to show the memory card and phone memory. There are folders in each. Just copy a file from PC and paste to folder on the P800. You can also click the P800 icon on desktop. This message was posted from a P800

Do you get to see the folder structure in the phone memory and memory card when double clicking the P800? This message was posted from a P800

What kind of file? Could you be a bit more specific (i.e. file extension)? Are you sure the file isn't a streaming format?

Ok you have a few options one of the best is to buy a memory stick reader/writer. You can get these from your local camera shop as some digital cams use mem sticks. The adaptor supplied will work. This will save wear and tear on the contacts on the bottom of the phone, a problem i had with my old t68.Then you can just transfer files manualy to the right folders.
