Certainly proves that SE have completely lost it. If you have a look at any other forum for people's views of the T610, they all say it looks ugly. I think we're going to see SE's market share full even more.

I think you should focus on the fact that SE actually increased their marketshare in the last quarter, which would suggest that the new phones like the T100, T300 and P800 is a part of this market share increase, since they were all released in (or right before) Q4 last year. And all these three phones are part of SE's new design.
The fact that they are increasing the market share is certainly positive, and I think they are on the right track again.
And also if you read the opinions on this forum you would find that the majority actually like the design (or think it's ok), but the ones who don't are quite active and "loud".
Also, so far all the preview's/reviews I've read says that the T610 looks good, and they have seen it in real life compared to most other people.

isn't going 2 announce some new cutting edge designed phones - It will b a sure end...

Me, for a fact, i don't buy em cuz of the patchy and sloooow software.I was expecting the T series (100, 200, 300) but nothing has changed.Even if menus are faster, after 20 letters the sms or wap succombs lol Dies, i mean... sloooowly ... of course.And this is just an example.

Well, I don't find the T300 or the later versions of the T68i software slow. In fact it is faster than the Nokia 7210 that I tried. Especially when I tested wap.
And when it comes to software bugs, Nokia are much worse than SE. Since I upgraded my T68i to R5C software I haven't had one single crash the phone is rock solid (and turned on 24/7 since november last year). And I use it heavily with GPRS and bluetooth. The SE software is much more flexible compared to the Nokia software. Stuff like the PCControl software is not available to Nokia phones... I wonder why??
But the important point I was making is that SE has increased their market share in Q4. And that is with the new SE design.

701, hmm, the first thing the majority of users look at when they buy a phone is looks. The T68, S55 etc all looked sexy, the newer SE phones look smart, but certainly not sexy. The first thing the T610 reminds me of is a Zippo lighter, certainly nothing special. Don;t get me wrong though, i do like my P800, but i would prefer to have the looks of the Nokia 7650, with the features of the P800.

What that article is saying is that SE have REGAINED MARKET SHARE.

But the fact is that Q4 last year was the first time in quite some time that SE actually increased it's market share, and that is in the right direction. And the fact that they increased their market share with phones using the new design would suggest that they are on the way up.
As always a good design is subjective. And I guess that you either like or hate the new SE designs. But I would say that from the people I've talked to about 50% likes the design of the T610 and the rest don't like it. You can also say what you like about the new design but they are very original at least.
On that forum link you provided were not many people who had posted, and none of them had seen it in real life. All SE phones looks better in real life (I think they should hire a new photographer). When I first saw the T100 pictures I thought it looked horrible, but when I had the oppurtinity to see it in real life, I would have to say that it looked very nice.
