They offer it unlocked for 425.52 GBP = 615.926 EUR

This is less than many of the other prices quoted on this forum.
Any won't ruin your credit rating at the bureau when you terminate your contracts.

Am i missing something?

A little thing called VAT my friend. [:)]

The SE P800 is definitely not £425 from the SE eshop, it's 17.5% greater than that, at £500 - much more expensive than mine WITH my Orange contract (£420) - plus i have fully comprehensive insurance on mine for nought extra.

£502.94 = 728.242 EUR

ah, yes forgot about VAT but still £500 is only £80 more than you paid and i don't have sign a contract.

Besides i'm in Ireland so it would be probably be more expensive than €700 here even on contract...

Yes, but £80 i can spend quite happily elsewhere (like on two 64mb MS duo cards )

And, for me, the insurance is very important. I really can't shell out £500 to replace if i break/lose/have my P800 stolen. As it is, i've got Orange Care included in that £420.

(and point to note - I could have got the phone and contract for £320, so £180 less than SE shop, still including insurance for the year - I just didn't want to cheat orange out of too much money! )

have they even got any?

I orderred mine from there months ago, and fair enough they were as delayed as the next shop, but in the end they weren't the first to get hold of them.

Can anyone confirm they have shipped from here?

Simion - are you sure you have OrangeCare? In the UK, they stopped giving it free with new contracts in October 2002, I believe. They claimed they were restructuring and improving tariffs, but there were hidden increases, and I switched to O2 as a result.

Yup, i'm sure - i'm on the HSD tariff, for which it is still included, though i'm aware that very few tariffs have it included now.

Hey there, is the HSD tarrif a business only tarrif? I dont know if you've seen my other thread about orange care, but along with asking about unlocking i asked about the HSD tarrif and she didn't have a clue. You see, i'm looking to change down to that after reading about it on here, is it basically a tarrif with no free nothing @ £10 a month, but with free insurance? do i have to change to that over the telephone or something? Thanks...
