I wrote to SonyEricsson asking will their P800 ever support a video function. This is their reply:-

Thank you for contacting Sony Ericsson,
With regard to your enquiry, we are grateful for your valuable feedback
concerning the P800.
There may be software updates made available for this handsetm however this
connot yet be confimed.
It is not possible to capture video footage using this product. This may be
made available in future products, enhanced by the 3G network.
Should you require any further assistance please do not hesitate to contact
us.
