Hey
I have just recived my p800 and i wanted to load some files from my pc on to the mobil. I installed the pcSuite from the cd, and inserted the usb cable. But then it (windows 2000) starts asking for drivers to the new "usb unit" and i dont see any other drivers then what the pcsuite installed, and it wont find any drivers there.. where are those damn drivers?

If you let the driver install process run, does it not detect the drivers by itself?

The drivers are all on the PC Suite CD, keep it in the drive and it should scan the CD and detect them.

The drivers are on the CD, the USB "unit" is basically a cable that converts USB into a serial connection (COM3, 4 or 5, etc.).
It should have already been included in your windows 2000 CD, but there are drivers on the actual CD for it too (essentially for Windows 98, but I believe they should also work for windows 2000).

I'm having exactly the same problem with my Windows XP Home (SP1) Laptop, and also on my Windows XP Professional (SP1) Home System. The Software installs perfectly fine, but as soon as you plug in the DSS-20 USB Syncstation, the PC detects the USB device and asks for drivers. I've tried all the drivers on the supplied CDROM, and also all of the Drivers from the Sony-Ericsson Support site.. Windows refuses to accept that any of them are the correct driver.
When I force Windows to use the DSS-20 Drivers from the CDROM, I am given an "Error 10: Device cannot be started" error.
Has anyone managed to provide a solution to this problem? Its driving me insane!!!
