Right, after having a serial cable that wasn't compatible and a faulty infrared adapter, i now have a Fone Data Suite USB data cable to connect up to my T300.
It works fine, but the problem is the supplied software can't send themes, gifs, or games to the phone.
I've tried the SonyEricsson software (my pictures, imageeditor, and MMS Studio) and the christersson sendfile. none of them can detect the phone!
I've heard this and that but nothing has really helped! I really want to be able to send the things i can't to my phone.
Help!

yeah, its just the ir adapter I had was faulty, so I sent it back and got this cable instead.
sony ericsson have just got back to me regarding the issue, and have pointed me to some software on thier site. i'm sure I've already tried it though...

The Sony Ericsson software should allow you to send themes and images to the T300. It will not allow you to transfer animated Gifs though. Are you using a Sony Ericsson original cable or is it a 3rd party cable?

They seem to have updated their software to work with USB. i think before it only worked with serial or IR.
So now I can use christerssons send file and the SE mms and image editor!

check this on your system settings, first.
I'm using an usb data cable (Digicom Palladio, bundled with fone data suite, it is MA compatible) and an IR adapter too. gprs modem will only work via IR, all the rest works fine with the cable too.

thats fine. its on COM7 (on the front USB port of the PC).
the link that sonyericsson gave me sent me to the latest version of the software (communications suite, image editor, mms editor)
the stuff is hard to find so here is the link:

first, click 'drivers, scripts and patches' and download and install 'Sony Ericsson Dial-Up suite version 1.5.5'
this installs that latest version of mobile phone monitor, built for USB T300.
then you can install the rest no probs!!
