I have no idea if this is even possible, but the one thing that the P800 really needs is a little joystick controller (like the T68).
So, would it be possible for an addon to the connector at the bottom for a joystick to emulate the Jogdial ? (up/down/left/right/fire) ? Then all these emulators (mame, doom, frodo) would all be properly usable.
Or a clip on joystick that presses part of the screen (like the key flip), although this wouldn't be as good as the former.
Also, is it me, but to me the jogdial should be on the otherside of the P800, it's a real pain where it is !!!

You've made me think of an idea. How about a replacement for the flip which too up less screen space that just had a small d-pad on it and a couple of action buttons. It could work the same way as the current flip and you could not have an extended part that would stop it going into flip closed mode.
I think it could be quite useful for games (or even just generally), as long as you could do it in a small enough area while still making it useable.

What the P800 really needs is some sort of controller which can attatch to the P800 in landscape mode. There is a similar pad avallible for the clie. I think it could be possible but I know it'l never happen. Same

I have thought about all these before. The best would be a clip-on joystick or a d-pad. I have seen something like this before for a pda.
It would be great to have one for the P800!!!:-)

I would pay a reasonable amount for a bluetooth qwerty keyboard which I could place next to the p800 in landscape, or when it's in the sync station. Maybe some sort of design which would "hold up" the p800 like a little laptop would be amasing.
For my money the only problem with p800 functionality is the difficulty in inputting text - whilst its about as fast as any phone for inputting data, it desperately needs a keyboard...
And yes, I have a chatboard, but according to posts on here it doesnt work so I haven't tried it.

When playing java games there is a virtual d-pad. This is always at the same place(and always looks the same)...
All you'd need is a joystick like thing there.. For the crafty of you out there it should be possible... But remember.. With a touchscreen you can only press the screen a one location at the same time.....
