> Bypassing the p800 phone lock???

Hi Everybody!!
I don’t know if this is a newbie question or not but anyway here is the question:
Is there any means or anyway that I can override or bypass the phonelock?? Let’s just say upon turning on the p800,( maybe after charging the phone or after the phone is left idle for a while ) then it asked for your password ( **Note: you personalized your password, NOT!! the 0000 given by SE), unfortunately you accidentally forgotten your p800 phone lock access code, How do you now bypass the lock? Thanks

You can't. That's what it's for! It's designed to prevent unauthorized use of the phone. You have to bring it to an :se: service point w/ proof that it's yours.

u could allways run the battery out and then get the firmware upgraded at a service point that mite get rid of the lock
(MAY DONT TAKE MY WORD FOR IT SINCE I DONT KNOW)

A firmware update will NEVER reset the phone lock, no matter what kind of SE phone it is. Phone lock is written in an area of the Eprom that's not touched with a firmware flash. Only a few service points and the "high volume SE repair centres" can reset phonelockcodes. They need a special hardlock to do that, the standard hard lock for accessing the Emma2 server isn't sufficient.
For Unlocking your phone code you need to have proof it's yours (invoice) and it costs around 40 euro's (Netherlands)
How on earth do you forget the phonelockcode?? I can imagine this happens when you leave a phone unused in a drawer for a couple of months, but with a brand new p800 that hardly could be the case.......

i just changed mine to the same code as my cash point code which i will never forget ever!!!!
my friend changed the security code on his nokia 8310 and when he wanted to use a differnt sim in it he couldnt because the phone propted him for the security code so he went out and bought a t68i,
but he cant even sell hes 8310 because no other sim will work in it other then his old t-mobile one poor him!

When i got the MRC to unlock my phone, i requested the NCK they got out of my phone to do it.
The guy listed several other codes also - including my correct phone lock code. They unlock for £25, so ask them or someone else who unlocks P800's to find your phone lock for you, see how much they charge for that.
