Hi...I'm working day in and day out with the stocks and commodities mkt....but i'm on the move a lot of the time recently due to some personal stuff...i need to know that if i get the p800, will it be able to deliver live stock readings by opening the following page/trade screen?
so i would be grateful if someone could help me out, someone who has the p800, by accessing this page and telling me if it works? goto
www.kse.com.pk then click on TradeScreen on the left....if the trade screen opens and (hopefully u access it when mkt is open which is 05:00 a.m. GMT till 09:00 am GMT).....Thanks guys. I love the p800 to bits, and if this works i will go out tomorrow and get it, dont care how expensive it is!

In Opera I can open the web site but looks weird. Only actually see anything if I select fit to page view.
When I click the stock link it opens up a second page but its just blank.

The 'Tradescreen' link doesn't work, because it uses a Java applet. However, the KSE have sensibly included an HTML based version as well. You can get it directly at
http://www.kse.com.pk/php/tradescreen2.php or by clicking on 'Trade Screen (Old Version)'. It works perfectly on P800 Opera, as long as 'Fit to page' is not turned on. Not tried it on the internal browser because that would cost money... (I'm surfing via cable/bluetooth.)

Niknak, how do you surf with Opera over Cable/Bluetooth ?
I've got a BLuetooth dongle on my PC and i'd love to surf that way.

Just connect to bluetooth, open Opera.. and start browsing, opera will recognize your bluetooth connection and then use your computers internet connection automatically.

You need to ensure you've got a bluetooth serial port connection working. It's not as straightforward as it should be, but look through the other threads about bluetooth here if you have problems. You'll probably need to be using the 1.3.2.7 drivers (from billionton or following the instructions at
www.bluetoothguide.com), and you'll get the whole 'failed to connect' but connects anyway thing. Any 3rd party program that uses TCP/IP should work over a serial connection to the phone (be it via USB/infrared/bluetooth). The internal browser can be coerced into doing it, but I can't see the point when Opera is so good.
