I think what he/she was trying to say is that Sun Communications is planning to turn their current Php2/min, Php0.50/SMS promo into their regular rates.... for good!

Well, according to Globe and Smart, they were confident in maintaining their current prices. But only time will tell who has the real advantage. Sun will get a lot of subscribers this way... but can they really sustain these prices? Or will they increase after a year? AFAIK, this promo of theirs will run for 6 months.

I think Sun Cellular is DIGITEL, So pag nag network search ka digitel ang lalabas! Saka ALCATEL ang humawak sa project ng cellular sites nila!

I was able to receive a call from a Sun mobile sim a week ago which proves that Globe and Sun are now connected.

I tried calling the number and since he was in Quezon at that time, it diverted me to his voice mailbox. The voice mailbox had the usual feature of leaving a voice message PLUS reviewing the caller's message, adding a message to the previous message or deleting and changing the voice message altogether.

I was told that as soon as the Sun subscriber reaches an area of coverage, a text message would inform him that a voice message has been left. If no message has been left by the caller (kung tamad), a text message would inform the Sun Subscriber that a call has been received from the missed caller's number (or name if in memory).

Sun's sims would be available to the public by the first week of April. Text however is presently not yet interconnected. GPRS would also be available and the network promises a better gprs coverage and possibly pricing than its competitors.

Expect more innovations from this new player.

If SUN will have good feedback from its subscribers, maybe i'll switch. A lot of my officemates are actually interested in switching coz of the low rates. This message was posted from a R520
