> Travelling countries and Pay as you go

Im going travelling and think that using my current orange contract will cost me a fortune when making calls and using GPRS. Im gonna want to be able to recieve calls and use GPRS, does anyone know if the following countries do pay as you go sims with GPRS and what the costs would be and do you think this will be the cheapest option?:-

Australia
USA
