Can I remove the operator logo "Vodafone" from my flip closed screen

My Orange logo went after I did a reset (hold power button for 10 seconds). I had to do this cos it crashed (white screen of death). Might be worth backing up your phone first, although I didn't lose anything when I did this.

If it is in fact hardcoded, then the string for the logo name must be a variable. If it is a variable, then Im pretty sure that before we know it, someone, who's not half as lazy as I am, will write up a little something that will be able to feed some blankness into that variable so we end up having a blank logo without messing up the software.
